Are You a Carer? Information and Support

Key Information

  • A carer is anyone who provides regular, unpaid help to a family member, friend, or neighbour.
  • Letting us know about your role is the single most powerful step you can take to get support for yourself.
  • Once we know you're a carer, we can offer you a free annual flu jab, be more flexible with your appointments where possible, and connect you to a wider network of support.
  • To register as a carer, speak to our reception team or let us know through our online service.

What Happens Next?

By registering as a carer with us, you allow us to better look after you.

Letting us know adds a confidential note to your medical record so our whole team can be aware of your situation and support you better. We can help you access national resources as well as brilliant local organisations right here in Stockport, like Signpost for Carers.

This small step unlocks a great deal of support, so please don't hesitate to do it.
